CENTRAL TRAIN STATION MILAN

The Central Train Station in Milan (or Milano Centrale) is the main station in the city.
The most important train lines going to the various regions of Italy and to the principal European cities leave from this station.
It is easy to get to with the Number 2 and 3 Metro lines, the tram lines numbered 2, 5, 9, 29/30 and 33, and the Number 42, 60, 81, 82, 82/, 87, 90/91 and 92 Bus lines.
Central Station is also connected to the area airports by shuttle services.


BOVISA F.N. STATION

This station is found in the northwest section of Milan and is managed by the FerrovieNord (Northern Railways).
It is the most convenient and fastest way to get to the Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design Sections of Politecnico di Milano. The Industrial Design and Architecture Campus (in Via Durando) is located to the left of the station, while the Engineering campus (Via La Masa) is located to the right. By purchasing a simple urban ATM ticket it is possible to take any train from Cadorna Station that stops in Bovisa. The trip takes about 10 minutes.

This station is the center of surface transportation lines in Milan. It is the main terminus for the regional train lines going to and from Domodossola, Luino, Porto Ceresio, Chiasso, Lecco, Bergamo and offers some regional service to and from Pavia, Voghera, Treviglio and Piacenza.
On Sundays and holidays it offers connections with Venice and Genoa.
The train station underground is located on the local commuter train network and is linked to the following stations: Rogoredo, Saronno, Mariano Comense, Varese, Novara e Pioltello-Limito.

Milano Porta Genova Station is the oldest train station in Milan still in use. It is found a short distance from the Navigli (canal district).
It provides service to the southwest area of the Milan Province (to Mortara). With this train you can get to the town of Vigevano, where you can find one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy (Piazza Ducale) and the Sforzesco Castle. Pay special attention to the Duomo in Vigevano--- the façade of the cathedral was engineered to make the cathedral seem perpendicular to the piazza, but the rest of the church goes off at a strange angle. The building itself is NOT at all straight on the piazza.

Milano Rogoredo Station is one of the train stations located in the south part of Milan.
It is a stop on the routes to and from Bologna and Genoa and it is also the southern terminus for the S1, S2 and S6 local commuter train lines.


CADORNA STATION- FERROVIE NORD

Milano Cadorna Station is the terminus for the S3 and S4 commuter train lines plus the main terminus for the regional train lines going to and from Varese, Laveno, Novara, Canzo-Asso and the train link to Malpensa Airport (Malpensa Express).
It is located near Sforzesco Castle and the Triennale Museum.

The Passante Ferroviario (local commuter train network) is a train network which is almost entirely found underground and which crosses the city from the northwest (Certosa and Bovisa) to the southeast (Rogoredo).
This system is composed of 5 lines, each given a number plus the letter S (Line S1, S2, etc.) to distinguish them from other area trains.

To use these trains, you can use tickets or ATM passes. In addition, those who possess a ticket or train pass with either the FerrovieNord or Trenitalia, with origin or destination in Milan, can travel on this network without any additional cost.

STAZIONE MILANO CENTRALE

La Stazione Centrale di Milano (o Milano Centrale) è la principale stazione della città.
Da qui partono tutte le linee più importanti per le diverse regioni d'Italia e per le principali città europee.
E' facilmente raggiungibile con le linee metropolitane 2 e 3, con le linee tramviarie 2, 5, 9, 29/30 e 33, il filobus 90/91 e 92, gli autobus 42, 60, 81, 82, 82/, 87.
La Stazione Centrale è anche collegata agli aeroporti tramite navette.




STAZIONE BOVISA F.N.

Si trova nella zona nord-occidentale della città ed è gestita dalle FerrovieNord.
E' il mezzo più comodo e veloce per raggiungee il Politecnico,sia la parte di Architettura e Disegno Industriale (Campus di Via Durando, a sinistra della stazione), sia quella di Ingegneria (Campus di Via La Masa, a destra della stazione). Con il semplice biglietto urbano è possibile prendere ogni treno in partenza da Cadorna che si fermi alla Stazione di Bovisa. Il viaggio dura 10 minuti circa.




STAZIONE P.TA GARIBALDI

La stazione di superficie di Milano Porta Garibaldi è il capolinea dei treni regionali per Domodossola, Luino, Porto Ceresio, Chiasso, Lecco, Bergamo e di alcuni treni regionali diretti a Pavia, Voghera, Treviglio e Piacenza.
Nei giorni festivi effettua collegamenti con Venezia e Genova.
La stazione sotterranea è situata sul passante ferroviario e collega la stazione con quelle di Milano Rogoredo, Saronno, Mariano Comense, Varese, Novara e Pioltello-Limito.

Milano Porta Genova è la più antica stazione ferroviaria di Milano ancora in uso.Si trova a poca distanza dalla zona dei Navigli.
Serve la parte sud-ovest della provincia di Milano, fino a Mortara. Con questo treno si può raggiungere la cittadina di Vigevano in cui si trovano una delle più belle piazze d'Italia - Piazza Ducale - e il castello Sforzesco.

La stazione di Milano Rogoredo è una stazione ferroviaria di Milano nella zona Sud di milano.
È punto di fermata delle linee per Bologna e Genova, e capolinea meridionale del passante ferroviario e delle linee S1, S2, S6.

La stazione di Milano Cadorna è lo scalo di testa delle linee ferroviarie suburbane S3 e S4 ed è capolinea dei treni regionali per Como, Varese, Laveno, Novara, Canzo-Asso e del collegamento con l'aeroporto di Malpensa (Malpensa Express).
È situata vicino al Castello Sforzesco e alla Triennale di Milano.

Il Passante Ferroviario è un'infrastruttura quasi interamente sotterranea che attraversa la città di Milano da nord-ovest (Certosa e Bovisa) a sud-est (Rogoredo).
Il passante ferroviario è formato da cinque linee, contraddistinte da una S.
Per utilizzare il passante, si possono utilizzare i biglietti ed anche gli abbonamenti ATM.
In più, chi possiede un biglietto o abbonamento delle ferrovie Nord o Trenitalia, con origine o destinazione una qualsiasi stazione di Milano,può viaggiare sul Passante Ferroviario senza alcuna spesa aggiuntiva.
